Travel insurance services for racers outside their home country.
All racers traveling to races outside their country of permanent residence are insured at all races organized within CEU (except HH, workout, and Kids races) with assistance services for foreigners provided through the Metlife insurance company.
In case a racer is injured during the race and must be sent to a hospital abroad for urgent medical treatment, they will contact Metlife insurance by phone at its designated phone number. The Travel Insurance program should be understood in this case as insurance for injuries that occurred directly during the Spartan race on the race track and not during travel or stay related to the Spartan races. For example, in the case of an injury during a traffic accident that occurred on the way to the race or on the way home after the race, costs will not be covered by this program. The insurance only covers injuries caused during the race on the obstacle course from start to finish.
